Ebola Virus

Ebola is a disease cause by a deadly virus called Ebola Viruses.  Many Ebola victims are from Africa especially in Western African Countries .December 8 2014 death toll in West African countries  is nearly reaches 7,000 specially in Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. As of now Philippine is still  a Ebola Free country. Ebola can easily spread by directing contact with blood and body fluids.The length of time between exposure to the virus and the development of symptoms is between 2 to 21 days. Most often this is between 4 to 10 days. However, recent estimates based on mathematical models predict that around 5% of cases may take greater than 21 days to develop.

People who care for those infected with Ebola should wear protective clothing including masks, gloves, gowns and goggles.  These measures are also recommended for those who may handle objects contaminated by an infected person's body fluids.
